Secret to Success:
First of all Sid Meier is a genius. And genius makes for great games. Civ is by far the most addictive game ever made. True, it does take a little time to get used to, but once you do, you're hooked for good. The premise is simple. Start an ancient colony and be the first to either rule the world, or colonize another planet. Over the course of 3000 years things can get pretty hectic. You'll have tons of cities to control, loads of army's battling, and many other people to destroy. It's like one huge epic game of RISK (which, by the way, is the best board game of all time). If you haven't tried it, prepare to devote a good deal of your life to it.

Memorable Moments:
This is the game that almost caused me to flunk out of college my freshman year. I started playing it almost as soon as I got there (I had just gotten my Mac then), and I probably spent almost every night up till 4am playing. Yes, this game is that good. One of my favorite parts is naming towns and your civilization. I usually try to name things something funny or weird. It just adds that much more to the game. Of course, causing enough nuclear explosions so that the ice caps will melt is good fun as well.
