Mario Kart 64

Secret to Success: Trying to capitalize off of Super Mario Kart, MK64 does a good job. The switch to 3D is great, giving the option of racing in much different (and hilly) environments. Where this game is lacking is in the battle mode. There are a couple good levels, but it just isn't as fun as the racing mode. However, nothing is more fun than having four people hooked up, all trying to get first (especially if they're all good players). Watch out though, the computer cheats. However, it always keeps the game honest, and doesn't let players who are overly good take too much of a lead. You're never in for a dull game.

Memorable Moments: Staying up every night the summer after I got this game and playing. I would sit with friends at school and this is all we'd do is play. At first I'd usually win, but as people learn how to control the game it got even more exciting. And as it got more exciting, we'd play more and more. When you have a game that you can't put down every single night, it's an instant classic.
