13. Parappa the Rapper
Platform: Sony Playstation

Secret to Success:
When Parappa was released in Japan, Sony never wanted to bring it to the states. They figured it was a Japanese only thing. Once people got wind of this game, everyone wanted it, and Sony responded. Thank God. One of the ultimate party games, Parappa takes the concept of the video game and turns it 180. I mean, you've got a rapping dog who wants to win the heart of a daisy, so he is taught how to rap by samurai onions, chicken cooks, and a rastafari frog. Add some weird animation and some dope rhymes and I can't see how anyone could not love this game!

| Memorable Moments:
It's the music. It's not strange to randomly start rapping lines from this game at the most inappropriate times. Some of my favorites:
"When I say boom-boom-boom, you say, bam-bam-bam, no pause in-between, come on, let's jam!"
"In the rain or in the snow, I got the funky flow, but now, I really gotta go."
"whoa-ho-ho-ho, stop the car, we got an emergency, can't you see?"
