So what is this "vitaflo" thing anyway?

vitaflo is just a personal website run by Brent Gustafson, and has various crap on it that I find interesting. Of course this means nobody else will find any value in it whatsoever.

Um, no. If you can't figure that shit out on your own you probably shouldn't be doing it.

So then how did you learn all this web stuff?

Time and practice. I've been doing this "web stuff" since '94. I never said I was a fast learner.

How long has this site been around then?

vitaflo went live on May 7th, 1997, and has gone through a lot of different iterations since then.

How come the archives have missing months and the older posts sometimes seem out of place?

There have been many different versions of the site, most of which had a journal of some sort. I decided to add all of the previous posts from old versions into this one to consolidate everything. Since old versions had different themes (and gaps between release) this is why things seem staggered.

So where did the name come from?

Unfortunately I'm not supposed to talk about that (legal agreements and all that jazz).

Where do you work then?

I'm currently a New Media Designer at the Walker Art Center.

What's your education background?

I have a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics. I also took a lot of graphic design classes in college, which is where that interest steams from.

Did you program this site yourself?

The HTML, CSS, and JS yes. For the admin side for posting, I decided to use Moveable Type instead of writing my own admin system, to save me some time and headache. MT is an outstanding product and more than I'll ever need in an admin tool. I'd highly recommend it.
