I'd like to thank all of you who sent me a birthday email (you know who you are). You all made my day, especially since most of my real friends forgot it was my birthday! Anyway, big thanks goes to Mat at Holodeck73, and Ry and Christian at Kiiroi for one-upping everyone and wishing me a happy B-Day on their sites. Big mad phat props to Annette at 6MillionWays for all the hastle she went through to make my day fun. You all rock!

In case some of you forgot (or just didn't know which is more likely the case ;), today is Brent's birthday. Any and all presents can be forwarded via the contact page. The old man turns 24, but still feels like he's 18 when he started this whole web design gig. Hmmm...24 years old, 24 cans in a case....coincidence? I think not!

For a long time now I've wanted to see something on the net that mixed design information, etc, with a Slashdot style layout dicussion. Well, every day I seem to find something closer to that, and today I found 72pt. Only 3 discussions going right now, but they're good ones that make a person think. If only we could get a group of people to link to decent design stories and then allow comments on them, I'd be happy as a clam. I think it'd really open up the design community at large in the same way Slashdot has opened up the geek community at large (both good and bad).

Oh yes. Came across a nice little site called Titler, which is really different from the usual fare. Some people have commented that it's ugly, which in the graphic design sense, it probably is. In a strict randomness sense, it's crazy awesome. It reminds me a lot of jodi.org, but with more imagery and color. Not a lot of people are into this sort of thing, but those that are will appreciate it.
I just finished a column for the relaunch of Kiiroi coming real soon now. I've been helping a bit in critiquing the new design and I must say it's pretty slick. Everyone's redesigning now days. Looks like I'm due! ;)

K10K has finally put up the big redesign and all I can say is "WOW". I obviously expected big things only because of all the popularity they've gotten recently, but I must say I'm impressed with what the actual turnout was. Everything is much more cohesive this time around, as all the sections now relate and have the same scheme to them. Looks like Kaliber 10000 is gonna be THE place for design for some time to come.

Mike Young has just loaded up Serving 2 of Design Graphik, which I must say is pretty sweet. Check out the last experimental for some stuff that'll blow your mind.
Luckly, I was able to team up with Mike to do one of the experimentals on this new relauch. It's the second experimental titled "Modulus vs Epyt", which we did a while back when this thing was just a baby.
I also want to say that it's good to see a site with so much stuff on it as apposed to the many sites that have one or two cool things. Check it out, you won't be dissapointed.

Ahhh, it's about time! After about a week of downtime because NSI are a bunch of royal screwups and can't change a simple IP, vitaflo is back up at our new home over at Exception Media.
I took the opportunity during downtime to change up a few things on the site, and make it a little more streamlined. There are still things I'd like to change, but those will have to wait, mainly because I'm hard at work on a totally new web experiment. Look for a new domain to be hitting the airwaves sometime in March. It should be really different from what you're used to, with the emphasis this time being on programming rather than design. Curious yet? You'll just have to wait. ;)

There will be a disruption of service tonight as we move our server to her new home. Of course, the only one's who will really care about this are those of you who can't get to the site while it's down, and thus this message does those people little good now does it? ;)
