I went to Microcenter today to do some shopping, and on the way there I was listening to some music and had a cool idea. I think it'd be neat to have a band or whatever, that was two drummers, each one having thier own electronic drum kit. Then you program different drums to produce different sounds, not normal drum sounds. You could add effects like, the louder you hit the drum, it's a higher pitch to the sound. You could have sounds that are short on hit, or go longer, or go longer depending on how hard you hit the drum.

You could also have it so that the trigger sounds changed throughout the piece, adding a random element, or were "effects" added to a background clip of some sort on hit. Then based on how the two drummer played, I think you could make some really cool music, all through drumming. You could really play off each other, and give the music a lot more "body'. That would be pretty kick ass.
